SUMMARY:Scriptural Reasoning: "Education and Learning"
DESCRIPTION:Scriptural Reasoning (SR) is a practice where Christians\, Jews\, and Muslims study each other’s sacred texts. SR participants meet once a month to read short passages from their respective scriptures on a certain topic. Facilitated by a study leader\, each session is an opportunity to listen and share various perspectives. SR sessions help participants reflect on a curious list of topics within the Abrahamic tradition. The result is often a deeper understanding of others and one’s own scriptures\, as well as the development of strong bonds across faith communities. \n              Scriptural Reasoning – Introduction             Reading Material: Education and Learning \n                       \nThis Month’s Study Leader\n \nDr. Vanessa Avery is the Executive Director of Sharing Sacred Spaces\, Inc.\, where she builds community across differences using the unique tools of architecture\, space\, hospitality\, and dialogue. \nAs Director of Sharing Sacred Spaces\, Vanessa is also a Fellow at Hartford International University for Religion and Peace where she develops intercultural and interreligious DEI strategies and training for workplaces that are committed to leadership in religious and spiritual inclusion. \nVanessa is a lecturer of Interfaith Engagement at Yale Divinity School and affiliate faculty in Comparative Religion and Sociology at California State University. \n  \nWe would like to thank Rose Castle Foundation for their permission to use their content.
