The Rumi Forum organized a study trip to Turkey during May–June 2015 with the purpose to expose the accepted Fellows from the Washington D.C area to the diversity and opportunities that exist in Turkey.
The Rumi Fellows traveled to learn more about the history, social life and economy of the country. While becoming immersed in Turkish culture the group went on to visit their counterparts throughout the duration of the trip, visiting academic scholars and other professionals from very diverse backgrounds. The Fellows had the opportunity to attend a dinner at Turkish family home.
Some notable locations they visited during their time in Turkey are: Zaman Newspaper, Fatih University, Blue Mosque & Hagia Sofia (Istanbul), KimseYokmu, Samanyolu TV, among others.
Each fellow will write an article based on their experiences throughout the duration of the trip. See previous articles here: https://rumiforum.org/rumi-forum-fellowships-2/
