The University of Kentucky Interfaith Dialogue Organization (IDO) and Rumi Forum (Washington, D.C.), with the support of Student Government, Office of Student Affairs, Office of International Affairs, College of Arts and Sciences and the Graduate School, sponsored a Jewish–Muslim Dialogue Event: “Problems and Possibilities”, on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 in the William T. Young Library Auditorium.
The panel discussion was led by Mehri Niknam, Executive Director of the Joseph Interfaith Foundation of Britain, and Ibrahim Kalin of the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University.
“As members of the Interfaith Dialogue Organization, we believe that dialogue and respect for everyone in their position are the strongest shelters against any conflicts that arise from dissension, differences or difficulties in agreement,” said Mehmet Saracoglu, President of IDO.
