The Interreligious Communities Project (ICP) Solidarity Pledge Ceremony occurred at the Historic Blenheim Interpretive Center (3610 Blenheim Boulevard, Fairfax, VA) on Sunday, September 15th, from 3 to 5 p.m. Each community’s representatives formally signed the pledge and shared what it meant to them.
A group of seven congregations around the Northern Virginia/Washington, DC region has spent more than a year engaged in an interreligious effort to build understanding and solidarity across differences. Even in this time of heightened bias and polarization, gathering and sharing our mutual humanity seeds hope.
These seven congregations and other partner faith communities celebrated their work together and the relationships built as they pledged ongoing solidarity in the interest of peace, understanding, and safe communities.
We have completed Phase 1!
