Rumi Forum and American Turkish Friendship Association (ATFA) organized a total of six Ramadan dinner programs to share the traditional break-fast meal with Albemarle-Charlottesville community.
A large number of faculty from University of Virginia, including President Teresa Sullivan, community leaders, including Albemarle County Supervisor Ann Malek, Charlottesville Mayor Satyendra Huja, Vice Mayor Kristin Szakos, Albemarle County Chief Steve Sellers, Albemarle School Board Chair Steve Koleszar, Albemarle School Board Member Dianathe McKeel, University Baptist Church Pastor Michael Cheuk, St. Mark Lutheran Church Pastor Sandy Wisco were among the guests. The program started with a presentation on the Month of Ramadan, followed by short video presentations on both Rumi Forum and ATFA. The participants then enjoyed the homemade Turkish meals.
