We at the Rumi Forum are deeply saddened by the horrific and deplorable events that took place at Ft. Hood on November 5, 2009. Our heartfelt condolences go out to our service men and women who lost their lives and who were injured. We pray for the Fount of Mercy to place comfort and patience in the hearts of the victim’s family members. We continue to hold our U.S. service men and women and the American people in our thoughts and prayers.

The Rumi Forum’s Honorary President, Mr. Fethullah Gulen, states, “any terrorist activity is the greatest blow to peace, democracy, humanity and religious values” and that “a terrorist cannot be a true Muslim and a true Muslim cannot be a terrorist”.

The Rumi Forum strongly and unequivocally condemns all forms of terrorism and violence.

The Rumi Forum strives to bring people together through education and dialogue for a more peaceful coexistence.
