Rumi Forum, in collaboration with First Presbyterian Church, organized Abraham’s Table Forum and Discussion entitled “The Root Causes of Religious Extremism” on Thursday, April 21. The forum was held in First Presbyterian Church with over 100 participants.

The participated first enjoyed the dinner sponsored by Rumi Forum and enjoyed coversation. Then, three panel speakers made presentation on the theme. Dr. David Leftkowitz, an associate professor at Department of Anthropology at University of Virginia, Rev. Dr. David Forney, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, Dr. Mustafa Gurbuz, a policy fellow in the School of Policy, Government, and International Affairs at George Mason University and a research fellow at Rethink Institute were the panelist.

Abraham’s Table Forum Discussion Series aim to create an environment that encourages open dialogue between people of different faith traditions, foster better understanding and celebrate our common humanity.
