Marketing and Communications Internship – Onsite

The Marketing and Communications Intern plays an important role by providing administrative support to the Executive Director and participating in managing, developing, and executing the social media content and strategy. We are looking for individuals who would like to gain experience in writing, teamwork, organization, accountability, and problem-solving among others.

Duties and tasks:

The Marketing and Communications Intern will be assigned to;

  • Writing, editing, and graphic design of social media content and strategy
  • Research, planning, process, and execution of other marketing initiatives
  • Ability to prepare for press events and to contact with media is preferred
  • Provide administrative and program support in public relations as needed
  • Write, revise, and edit reports, blog posts, opinions, & social media content

  • Assist in preparing and editing updates for Rumi Forum & CFIG’s websites
  • Follow, attend and report related events in Washington,DC for networking

 

 

Research Associate – Online/Onsite

The Research Associate will prepare an academically informed publication on spirituality, conflict resolution, religious freedom, religious nationalism, globalization, and interfaith engagement at the intersection of faith, identity, and globalization.

Duties and tasks:

The Research Associate will be assigned to;

  • Generate analyses and contribute to the knowledge and scholarship on the abovementioned topics
  • Provide administrative and program support in public relations as needed related to CFIG`s work
  • Publish informal monthly “think-pieces” about the research update under CFIG`s “Interactions” blog
  • Periodically write book reviews, provide commentary about related research topics and recent news

Eligibility

Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in International Relations, Government, Public Policy, Political Science, Sociology, Journalism, Communications, Religion, Peace & Conflict Resolution, or other social and humanities fields.
