On February 23rd, the Rumi Forum hosted Mr. Nathan Lean to discuss Islamophobia in America. He explored causes, challenges and solutions with a very timely and important discussion to overcome misunderstandings and prejudices against the Muslims in America.

Nathan Lean is a writer and scholar of the Middle East. Formerly the editor of Aslan Media, he currently serves as the Director of Research at Georgetown University’s Bridge Initiative. He is the author of three books including, most recently, The Islamophobia Industry: How the Right Manufactures Fear of Muslims, which has been translated into Arabic, Turkish, and Tamil. A graduate of Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, where he received an MA in Arab Studies in 2012, Nathan is as a leading voice in national discussions on Islamophobia.
