Rumi Forum organized Ramadan Iftar Dinner at Washington National Cathedral.
The Rumi Forum co-hosted an Interfaith Iftar Dinner at the Washington National cathedral on September 8th 2010. The Right Reverend John Bryson Chane hosted members of the Rumi Forum as well as members of the Washington National Cathedral in the Cathedral Library for the Iftar meal, all came together to rejoice and share in the fruits of dialogue.
Bishop Chane and President of the Rumi Forum, Emre Celik, addressed guests emphasizing the significance of dialogue, cooperation and mutual understanding. After the Iftar meal, guests enjoyed Turkish coffee, traditional Turkish apple tea, Turkish delight and baklava. The Rumi Forum wishes to extend deep gratitude to Bishop Chane, the guests and members of the Washington National Cathedral for hosting and being a part of this very special evening.
