The Rumi Forum condemns, in the strongest terms, the killing of journalist James Foley by the terrorist group ISIS. This heinous act is a despicable crime against humanity, peace, and democracy and represents no religion, as no faith teaches people to massacre innocents.
We join our honorary chairman, Fethullah Gulen, in extending our heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of the deceased in Iraq and Syria, and to the family and friends of the slain journalist, James Foley. We pray for patience and perseverance, and for their suffering to be alleviated.
